Just sleep, sleep and sleep4
Bailey has not eaten at all today – no treats, nothing. Getting a little nervous. The vet wants to see him tomorrow if he doesn’t start eating. He has been drinking and goes outside to soak up the sun and the light breeze, but then back to sleep. He threw up once today, but it was basically mucus since he has no food in him. He does not seem unhappy, sick or uncomfortable, but he is not interested in food at all. I know one of the comments said he could just have a bad taste in his mouth from his chemo, but how long does that go on for and is it normal to have it four days later??? UUUGGGGHHHHH
geesh…have you tried all types of irresistable yummies?? chicken breast? sirloin? liverwurst? i’d probably be going to have the vet give bailey a look over if there’s no change by tomorrow morning… paws crossed this will turn around soon!!

Bart was turned off food (even the yummiest of yummies) and his vet prescribed him a human antidepressant and eating was no longer a problem. I will look on his history on the main site to see the name of it. It worked wonders for Bart, perhaps your vet could prescribe it for Bailey.

Bart was prescribed Mirtazapine and it worked wonders for his appetite!!
Thank you. I already called the vet and am waiting to hear back. We talked yesterday and he said he would check Bailey’s blood work today and likely prescibe an anti-naseau medication if he was not eating today.
