Just a few ups and downs3
Bailey’s second round of chemo was on Monday and he did well on the anti-nausea medication, but once the pills were finished we faced some belly issues. Friday night and Saturday he ate, however he was a very picky eater. He did not eat all his food and would only take certain treats. We had a small amount of throwing up, but it was truly a little amount. You could see he was not feeling well by his actions and non-actions, but this round was definitely better than the last.
On another note, I received today for Mother’s Day a painting of both Bailey and Prancer done by a local artist. My husband surprised both my daughter and me.
we remember the ups and downs of chemo too.. hope this is just a small bump in bailey’s road ahead. will you post a picture of the portrait???

I will try. I seem to be having problems posting pictures.
Ugh….the chemo roller coaster stinks! Our Sam stuggled with nausea too so we just extended the days he took cerenia. He got a shot of it with his carbo and then we did pills for 4-5 day – until we could see he was truly feeling better. I think he was initially prescribed 2-3 days worth but it just wasn’t enough for us….the extra couple of days makes the difference…. it really does help if you have one of the few pups that just doesn’t tolerate it!
The picture sounds amazing….what a wonderful gift!
