Post Surgery6

Prancer did great.  She is home and seems no worse for the wear.  Doc said she did great. He was happy to see she is still gaining weight.  I opted not to get the biopsy after discussion with the doc that having that knowledge would not change our course of treatment.  Even if we found out it was cancer she is not a candidate for chemo, nor would we do it.  He has another dog patient that has cancer in his mouth and he just freezes off the tumors each time and has been doing such with that dog for about 2 years.  Plus, I didn’t feel knowing was best for us at this stage.

Whew!! Bg sigh of relief over here in tripawd land!

So glad sne did well! All of you can look forward to the holidays now with a sense of serenity and calm.

Prancer realy is a sweet, sweet girl. She always looks so gentle in herphotos.

I like the attitude you and your vet have taken. Mine is kind of the same way, especialh with seniors. If finding out what “it” is doesn’t really cha ge the course of the treatment…just dohe “treatment” and get on with enjoying beingin the present and savoring the moment.

The very best to you and Bailey and Prancer! Wonderful update! Thanks!

    Lots of love!!

Ignorance is bliss in our household. We just try to enjoy each day.

P.S. She is really gentle and sweet, just wants t be next you wherever you are and doesn’t require much more than that other than a blankie over her at night or when she is cold.
